Philadelphia Modern House Tour 2011
Hooray Modern House Fans. The annual Philadelphia Modern House Tour has just been announced, organized by realtor Craig Wakefield, but this time also by Philadelphia’s new Chapter of DocoMomo. Here is more info from Craig:
I am glad to announce the 4th annual Philadelphia Modern Home Tour. The Oct 9th, 2011 tour is of Mid-Century Modern Homes in Delaware County. The lineup is great this year and I hope you are all able to attend. As in past years there will be much variety in the homes that are included. Work by architects Arthur Tofanni, Arthur White, Rudolphs Zaprauskis, Irwin Stein, Edward Robinson, and possibly a home by George Daub are included. This year I am presenting the tour together with the newly formed Philadelphia Area Docomomo Chapter and all ticket proceeds will go to the chapter. Again as in past years the tour will be a self driving tour and you will be able to proceed at your own pace. Background information and maps will be emailed to all who have purchased tickets prior to the tour. Tickets will be limited to 100 this year and I expect we will sell out quickly as in years past. Please send me a note to let me know how many tickets you would like me to reserve for you. Please also mail the donation check made out to DOCOMOMO to my home address included below, after letting me know how many tickets you want reserved.
