The New Blog is Announced

A new newsletter went out today inviting DVM members to visit the blog. Previously we were sending out emails to make announcements, which worked fine, but sometimes news needed to go out faster than the newsletters were going out, which meant people missed learning about events. So we have started this new blog where we can post announcements instead of sending email newsletters. The newsletters will continue, but with less urgency, and the email list will still be a good way for us to know who is interested, please by all means sign up, and sign up your friends. Send in your event announcements and modern finds and we will post them.

PostGreen Homes hosts Open House

Although this open house will be at their new office, and not at one of their houses! PostGreen is the small Philadelphia developer that we have been following, and who has been building sustainable LEED certified and modern styled homes in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. Their 3rd and 4th houses are nearing completion and their business proposition appears to be suceeding, as is the appeal of their thoroughly modern homes.

Come out to an open house at their office on 30July, 6-8pm, at 2424 E. York St., Philadelphia, PA 19125. More info at their web site.

DVM member home on market

DVM member Lawrence O’toole has his home on the market in Philadelphia. It is a modern refurb of a pair of adjacent townhouses in the Fishtown neighborhood. It really is a fantatic living situation for the city. Its a double townhouse on a triple lot. So it has an enormous garden behind it, and a large two car garage that passes all the way through to the garden. And it has a second outdoor gated parking area. Really a lot of space for a Philadelphia row house dwelling. The interior is completely contemporary with lots of light and access to the garden.

Main Line Modernism House Tour
